"Hydration"

We take up the fight against the so-called TEWL (Transepidermal Water Loss). Our skin loses moisture every day and as the skin ages, it increasingly loses the ability to store moisture sufficiently. Therefore we have to help her to fill the depots and also to store the added moisture - if possible with high-quality small and large molecular hyaluronic acid or equivalent moisturizers. This is referred to as NMF – Natural Moisturizing Factor. There are some of these that go by the INCI names betaine, sodium lactate, urea, glycerin, PCA, etc. These support the effect of hyaluronic acid and have a moisture-forming and binding effect.

HYALURONIC ACID
(INCI-Name: SODIUM HYALURONATE)

Hyaluronic acid is a biotechnological product. Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid is used to reach into the deeper layers of the skin. High molecular weight is used to achieve a hygroscopic effect on the outer layers of skin. In connection with water, hyaluronic acid creates a viscoelastic, non-sticky, and invisible film that regulates the skin’s moisture ba-lance. This powerful moisture binding effect causes the skin to appear much smoother and fuller. PANTHENOL (PROVITAMIN B5)
(INCI-Name: PANTHENOL) Moisturizes the skin even in deeper layers, stimulates epithelialization and has anti-inflam-matory and wound-healing properties.

BETAINE
(INCI-Name: BETAINE) Is a polysaccharide mixture obtained from sugar beet juice. It has a moisturizing effect due to its extraordinary moisture-binding capabilities, improves the feel of the skin and is also an excellent antiaging product.

SODIUM PCA (NMF)

Is a moisture-retaining molecule that is a part of the NMF. It is made up of amino acids, is a natural component of the skin with highly water-binding (60 mg per 100 g) and water-at-tracting (44 mg per 100 g) properties, and is partly responsible for the skin‘s ability to store moisture. Sodium PCA ensures the special suppleness of the skin.
